My Story

Diana is a Métis counsellor who utilizes a client-centered approach with trauma-informed practices and cultural sensitivity. Using the two-eyed seeing approach, Diana incorporates best practices of both the Indigenous community and Western knowledge. Diana practices an integrative approach that includes mindfulness, solution-focused, CBT, EMDR, narrative, and somatic techniques. She believes in a holistic approach that considers not only mental health but the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of each unique individual and focuses on building a relationship of trust and safety. Diana understands that seeking counselling can be a stressful process and believes the relationship with the client is integral to positive counselling outcomes and therefore encourages clients to find the best fit for them to build safety and trust in the counselling relationship. Diana’s passion is to work with the Indigenous Community and LGBTQ2S+ clients.
