My Story

I am a provisionally registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I offer trauma-informed counselling and mental health support to individuals, couples, and older youth. I am completing EMDR training and am a level 2 trained Gottman Method Couples Therapy practitioner.

Honouring the Medicine Wheel, I believe that mental health includes connections and balance with our mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional health. Working through a trauma-informed and attachment lens, I utilize a positive psychology and strengths-based approach to be person-centered and solution focused in counselling sessions. In my practice, I use cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, narrative therapy, and existential therapy. When working with couples, I utilize the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy.

Services include: Individual counselling sessions for people aged 14 years and up, couples and family therapy, and mental health counselling; they can include trauma, life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, substance misuse, identity, self-esteem, or other distressing situations.

Certifications and training: Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Advanced Master Program on the Treatment of Trauma through the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioural Medicine, Telehealth Certification, Trauma Treatment Certification, and Culturally Responsive Approaches to Mental Health for Native Youth through Stanford University among other training that allow me to offer a range of modalities to best suit your needs.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

We recognize that the land on which we gather is part of Turtle Island, situated within the territories of Treaties Four, Six, Seven, and Eight. This land has long been a sacred gathering place for many nations, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika—alongside the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney-Nakoda, Tsuu T'ina Nation, and the Métis Peoples who call this region home.

The deep connection that the First Peoples have to this land teaches us our shared responsibility to protect and honor Mother Earth. Through this acknowledgment, we pay tribute to the ancestors, the children, and all those who rest here, as well as the missing and murdered Indigenous women and men.

We recognize the ongoing journey of collective healing for all of humanity.

We are reminded that all treaty people have a duty to one another.

We stand in solidarity with those beside us, those forgotten, and those lost.

We connect with Mother Earth for healing, guidance, and the teachings she offers.
