My Story
Daniela Chávez Vega (she/her) is a bilingual (sé habla espanol) Master of Clinical Social Work
Indigenous-Latina intern. Daniela is a first-generation Canadian who has extensive experience
working in the anti-violence field in multiple locations throughout Turtle Island/North America. As
a registered social worker, 3rd generation birth-worker, and full spectrum Doula, Daniela values
the various forms of healing that can be found throughout cultures, ancestral lineages, and
traditional ways of being and thus aims to support clients by helping them reconnect with
themselves and reclaim how they want to heal. Daniela is passionate about advocating for
survivors of violence creating accessible, inclusive and welcoming environments that
encourage collaboration and empowerment. Using client centered practices, Daniela invites
individuals to walk the path of reconnection, growth and healing.
