My Story


Lisa is a non-Indigenous ally who believes strongly in a holistic approach to therapy. She is a Registered
Psychologist with a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology. Lisa has been working in
counselling roles for the past eight years with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients in various
settings, including corrections, inpatient addictions treatment, virtual care, and private practice. Her
aim is to create a collaborative, safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for clients where a strong
working relationship can be fostered. Lisa enjoys working with clients both individually and in groups.
Lisa works with clients ages 13 and up. She works from a trauma-informed, client-centered perspective
and practices from an integrative approach, combining elements of psychodynamic and humanistic
therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused strategies,
depending on the client’s needs and goals. Lisa works with 2SLGBTQ+ clients.

Areas of Practice: Trauma (CPTSD, PTSD), Borderline Personality Disorder, addictions, anxiety, depression, stress management, grief and loss, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, trauma-informed care, general mental health counselling.
