Selena has been helping since 2007, initially as a volunteer victim service advocate, then later as a youth and family counsellor, crisis counsellor, and family support worker, before registering as a psychologist. As a practicing psychologist, Selena has worked in the areas of correctional mental health, including at an Indigenous healing lodge, as well as in the areas of grief and loss, family resourcing, private practice, weight management, as well as facilitating mental health group counselling at a walk-in counselling centre.
